Pleasure Riding Award Scheme

PLEASURE RIDING AWARD SCHEME

This Scheme is run to encourage BApS members to keep a record of the hours they spend hacking with their BApS registered appaloosa(s) and reward them with rosettes.

A new feature is that we are now including driving hours, so if your horse is a ride/drive the hours you spend driving will count too. Rosettes are awarded at 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1750 and 2000 hours (the finish of the Scheme).

All our members, some of which are pictured, are busy recording their hours to qualify for their next rosette. At the time of writing this article (mid Feb 10) the awards are as follows:

"Could everyone who is planning on showing their horses in the near future please check that they have renewed their membership.I have had several people contact me who are taking their horses to various shows only to find out that their membership has lapsed. Fortunately I have managed to get membership cards to all those who have needed them, but I would hate to think that someone will miss their big day because they have forgotten to renew!" Tracey
