Please note that the new DEFRA regulations involving microchipping insist that the vet implanting the microchip MUST sign alongside the microchip details on the Registration application form. BApS is a PIO (Passports Issuing Organisation) and can supply basic Identity only passports for any equine large or small, that does not qualify for a breed passport with a breed society. Forms can be found below

Foals require a passport by 6 months of age or by 31st December in the year of birth, whichever is the later.

With Immediate effect there is a price increase for passports issued to animals outside of these DEFRA guidelines.

TYPE OF MEMBERSHIP
Junior Membership – For young people up to 18 years of age. Junior Members do not have the right to vote or to register a horse
Senior Membership – For people over 18 years of age. Senior Members have the full rights of membership
Student Membership – For persons up to the age of 21, engaged in a full-time course relating to Equine Studies. *(NB: proof of enrolment is required)*

"Could everyone who is planning on showing their horses in the near future please check that they have renewed their membership.I have had several people contact me who are taking their horses to various shows only to find out that their membership has lapsed. Fortunately I have managed to get membership cards to all those who have needed them, but I would hate to think that someone will miss their big day because they have forgotten to renew!" Tracey
