Below are Member owned Fully Licensed Appaloosa Stallions that are being Actively promoted by the British Appaloosa Society.

Owners of All the below stallions have voluntarily submitted negative PSSM reports to the Society

BApS Council would like to strongly advise mare owners to ensure that the Appaloosa Stallion they choose to use is fully Licensed with the British Appaloosa Society and that annual Stallion Returns are filed routinely by the owner. If in any doubt, then please do not hesitate to contact the Society Registrar for confirmation before booking your mare in for service.

If the Stallion is not Licensed with us then your foal will not be eligible for normal BApS Main Register Status even if your mare is main registered. There are a number of pure bred, but unlicensed colts being offered at stud.

You are also strongly advised to make sure that the sire you choose to use has been tested free of the genetic condition PSSM. A full explanation of the condition is on the Health Matters page of this website if you wish to read up on it or contact the Registrar to discuss any concerns you may have............. Be warned ! and ask the right questions !
